Pathway to Canada – Part 5

A few weeks ago, I started a Pathway to Canada series where I write about ways to can legally and permanently move to Canada.
Check the previous blogs on our website to see more ways you could qualify to move to Canada.
Today, I will be talking about the Atlantic Immigration Program, a sure way to move permanently to Canada.
The Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP) was formerly called the Atlantic Immigration Pilot Program (AIPP). The AIPP was phased out after the pilot program was completed and it officially became a permanent program on January 1st, 2022. The AIP opened for applications on March 6th, 2022. This program focuses on attracting skilled workers to the four Atlantic provinces in Canada known as Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland.
The program is divided into 3 streams, which are:
The International Graduate Stream.
The High Skilled Stream.
The Intermediate Skilled Stream.
The Atlantic Immigration Program is an employer-driven program and barring all other requirements for these streams, you must have secured a full-time, non-seasonal job offer that is from a designated employer in any of the above provinces (Please note that not all employers are designated employers) in an NOC O, A or B and this must be supported by a provincial letter of endorsement, which is sent directly from the province to the applicant. The applicant will also be required to have at least a CLB 4, an ECA verified degree and at least 1 year of full-time work experience.
The advantage of this program is that the requirement for proof of funds is relatively lower than the proof of funds required for express entry. It is also an LMIA-exempt program, and the Language Assessment score is also lower than what is required at the Express entry level.
If you are accepted through this program, you have 90 days to apply for your Permanent Residency in Canada.
Do you have a job offer from any of these provinces and you need to apply for this program? Then contact us through any of our social media handles and we will be sure to respond to you.
